The pavilion is constructed of two separate materials: Untreated Western Red Cedar wood utility poles and 22 mm Birch plywood. The contrast of colors and texture of these materials help signify woods ability to have many different types of material qualities. The two materials shape the two different elements of the pavilion; a grid structure created by the utility poles and the softer flowing roof of the plywood sheets
