Handmade Digital Design

The final phase of the course involved taking the winning proposal and creating a functional prototype. We produced our own CLT sheets that were then milled to produce the pieces of the bench. A large focus on how to handle the remaining waste material was key to the winners proposal. This waste from the milling processed was divided and stacked to form the pillar beside the bench. The opportunity to construct an idea and work together as a class really made this part of the course fulfilling and enjoyable.
